Let’s get this out of the way: Hollywood sword fights are like professional wrestling matches. Both are heavily choreographed, and have little semblance to their real-life counterparts. It is glorified stunt work, but when done right, both can be extremely glorious!

The best fights are the ones that are the first thing that pop into your mind when you think about its movie. You can forgive a movie for its nonsensical plot, if it has a great sword fight scene. Maybe. This is not a list of best films with a sword fight scene. We are specifically referring to the fight scenes themselves. We are just listing the movie’s title just for the sake of simplicity.

Okay, you know the drill. The format is the movie followed by the year.
