In our next “Versus” round up, we have two deadly, dangerous men! Léon from The Professional, and Bryan Mills from Taken. Who makes the better vigilante? We will let you decide. Here is a little something about each character….
Leone “Léon” Montana (Jean Reno) is a hitman (or “cleaner”, as he refers to himself) living a solitary life in New York City’s Little Italy. His work comes from a mafioso named Tony (Danny Aiello). Léon spends his idle time engaging in calisthenics, nurturing a houseplant, and watching old films.
This man is a deadly aggressive professional. He prefers up close and tight quarters to fight in! His chose weapons are knifes and guns! He likes to get up close and personal for the kill! But in the end, it’s just a job for him! He cares mostly just for his plant, and watching films! But that all changes when a little girl comes into his life and changes everything for him! Although we don’t get to see any hand-to-hand combat with Leon, it can be speculated that he has some knowledge of fighting skills. But I assume that it takes a back seat when it comes to weapons. So if you see him, be quick to offer him a cold glass of milk!
It is revealed in the film Taken, that at age 21, Bryan (Liam Neeson) joined the United States Army, then later served in the Green Berets, and then joined the CIA and working as a preventer. Due to the strain on his marriage due to him being away so often, Lenore eventually divorced Bryan, separating him from their daughter, Kim. Lenore later remarried a man named Stuart St. Jon.
After the strain that his career put on his family life, Bryan decided that he missed them more than he’d miss his career, so he retired. His skill set is wide, and knows how to take out his enemy at any distance. He is a very deadly with all kinds of weapons, and knows how to get the job done! This is clearly not a man to be messed with if he is on your radar!
With that said, who would you think would be the deadliest vigilante? Would it be Léon, or Bryan? We want to know what your thoughts are.
