The 2nd biggest winner of Tebow-mania = the Mets

Unlike the New York Rangers, who can not seem to win for winning, there is a beneficiary to the Tim-Sanity that the Jets have afflicted onto the New York area. The only team in 2012 that probably does not want to be on the back pages of the local tabloids, and coast under the radar, is the New York Mets. Yes, the lawsuit from the Madoff scandal has been settled. But the big league roster is still missing a center fielder, 2 starting pitchers, a bullpen, a catcher, and any depth on the bench. Not that you have to be a pundit, but the universal consensus is that the team is destined to finish last in the NL East. It’s only a matter of time before the Jets’ brain trust will learn what the Yankees, Mets, and (hopefully?) the Knicks have learned  – that it is infinitely more difficult to win on the field, (or on the court) when you have a media circus off it.
